Welcome to Tapestry Beer Bar & SackVegas Brew Co. in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia!

Starting from humble beginnings in 2021, during a time of Covid and the growth of our Sackville community, we opened Tapestry Beer Bar with an idea of creating a space for community to come together, supporting local, and providing amazing Nova Scotian products to Lower Sackville.

Approaching our 5th year in business, we have supported over 45 Breweries, 9 Cideries, and 9 Wineries all from our beautiful province of Nova Scotia. We have also supported other breweries from our fellow Atlantic provinces, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland with tap takeovers throughout the years.

Owner and CEO Ian Smith, born and raised in Halifax, is a well traveled, well versed beer enthusiast. With a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Small Business Entrepreneurship Degree from St. Mary’s University, Tapestry Beer Bar was his first business venture. With the development and drive to brew his own beer, he now has a second business, SackVegas Brew Co., which is a small nano brewery located inside Tapestry Beer Bar.

Ian Smith has been an active member of the Sackville Business Association, and is currently the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors. We have hosted various fundraisers, food drives, sponsored various local events, and disaster relief efforts for our community and beyond.

With having family ties to Sackville, our family decided to establish strong roots here, grow a small family of our own, and be active members of our community.
